RAWALPINDI – Indian troops across the Line of Control (LoC) resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling once again last night, in the latest violation of the ceasefire agreement on Pakistan-India border, according to the Pakistan Army on Sunday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations said that the heavy shelling in Neza Pir sector started at 1140pm last night, continuing for hours and lasting until almost 5am early this morning. The Indian guns were silenced after the Pakistan Army troops befittingly responded to the Indian unprovoked firing and shelling, said the ISPR statement.
No loss of life was reported so far in the exchange of gunfire. In August 2015, a woman was killed while three other civilians – the woman’s husband and daughter, and a third female relative – were wounded in the same Neza Pir sector, located in Forward Kahuta district of Azad Jammu Kashmir.
