ISLAMABAD: A session of the Federal Cabinet was held on Thursday which would review the proposed draft bill “The Code of Criminal Procedure (Amendment) Act, 2016,” Tehlka TV reported.
During the meeting that was held at the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif tasked members of the cabinet to make an aid policy for the relatives of the victims of terrorism-related incident.
He also urged the members of the federal cabinet to formulate a package which would provide the children of the afflicted families with education and employment and also financially assist those families. “For the victims of terrorism acts, the setup of an endowment fund should be announced as soon as possible,” he said.
Sources also told that the prime minister instructed the members of the cabinet to present a detailed report regarding the decisions taken during the meeting at the next federal cabinet session. The meeting also discussed the progress of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
