LAHORE: Fazlur Rehman, chief of his own faction of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), said on Sunday there is no danger to the government and democracy because situation is different from October 12, 1999. Talking to media in Lahore, the cleric said it was Imran Khan who demanded judicial inquiry into the Panama leaks. The JUI-F chief said the matter was sent to the court, so there is no point of protesting. Imran must wait for the verdict of the court, the cleric added. He said that if Kaptaan continues his protest after hearing of case in the courts, it means that he is putting pressure on the courts. Fazl said that every party reserves the right to decide its own political stance, however, there is no moral credibility left for sit-in anymore as the matter is now in the court. He said saving the prime minister was not a crime. Fazl said the nation is in dire need of unity and harmony, but regretfully, Imran Khan is spreading anarchy and disunity.
