ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry said that a comprehensive National Anti-Corruption Strategy (NACS) is being implemented to curb corruption and corrupt practices from the country.
In a statement, he said that during the last 16 years NAB had received at least 309,000 complaints from individuals and organisations – out of which the bureau successfully completed 6,300 inquiries.
The bureau’s chairman said one of NAB’s major achievements has been the recovery of Rs 278 billion – of ill-gotten money – which was deposited back in the national exchequer.
